Helping Students & Families Navigate Important Transitions With Greater Confidence

Students are navigating academic pressures, uncertainty about the future, important decisions, growing independence, and often a tremendous amount of emotional stress along the way. Parents are trying to support their students while also managing timelines, expectations, financial considerations, and the complexity of the process itself.

My goal is to help families move through these transitions with greater clarity, confidence, organization, and support while creating an experience that feels thoughtful, collaborative, and far less overwhelming.

Since 2014, I have worked with students navigating many different academic and personal journeys — from high school planning and college admissions to transfer pathways, graduate school applications, and career exploration.

One thing has remained consistently clear: there is no single “right” path forward.

Some students arrive with a clear sense of direction. Others are still discovering their interests, strengths, and future goals. Some families seek long-term support throughout high school, while others need guidance during a specific transition or moment of uncertainty.

My role is not to push students toward a particular definition of success. It is to help them better understand themselves, navigate decisions thoughtfully, and move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and perspective.

Every student’s path deserves thoughtful and individualized guidance.

A calm, collaborative approach to each process.

The college and career process can quickly become overwhelming, especially when students and families feel pressure to have everything figured out immediately.

My approach is designed to reduce that pressure.

I work closely with students and families to create guidance that feels personalized, organized, realistic, and supportive. Some students benefit most from structure and accountability. Others need reassurance, confidence-building, or space to thoughtfully explore possibilities before making decisions about the future.

Every student receives individualized support designed around their personality, goals, pace, and needs.

The process is collaborative, relationship-driven, and focused on helping students move forward in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.

Supporting students through many different transitions.

Families often say the process feels calmer, clearer, and more manageable.

While every student’s experience is different, families often share that the most valuable part of working together is feeling supported throughout the process.

Students frequently benefit from:

  • greater organization

  • reduced overwhelm

  • increased confidence

  • thoughtful accountability

  • clearer direction

  • ongoing encouragement and communication

The process is not simply about completing applications. It is about helping students move through important transitions with greater self-awareness, confidence, and support.

“Michele helped our family feel calmer and far more organized throughout the entire process. Our daughter felt supported every step of the way, and we always appreciated Michele’s thoughtful guidance, responsiveness, and encouragement.” - Parent

More About Me

I have three kids of my own, two of whom have Type 1 Diabetes. That experience has shaped me in ways I didn't expect.

It taught me that the path is rarely straight, that flexibility matters more than perfection, and that having someone in your corner who stays calm when things feel overwhelming makes all the difference.

Beyond Type 1 is the cause closest to my heart. I've been a community leader and volunteer for over 19 years. When I'm not working with students, you might find me at a college football game.

Cheering on the Wolverines! My family and I, at a University of Michigan Game. I
I'm the short one to the right! Go Blue!

Ready to find out if we're a good fit?

The best place to start is a Discovery Call, a free, 15–20 minute conversation. We'll talk through where you are, what you're hoping for, and whether working together makes sense. No pressure, no obligation, no commitment required. Just a conversation.
